Individual  & Couple Therapy in Scottsdale … Premarital Counseling ... Marriage Counseling

As a former National Television Producer and Film Publicist, I bring to the therapeutic setting professional work experience that I believe makes me a unique find in your search for a therapist.  After earning a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. in 2002, I did my post-graduate work and had a private practice in Savannah, GA, before moving to Scottsdale where I opened Scottsdale Therapy, PLLC, in 2006.

I am a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, a Past Board Director of the Arizona Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health.  As an Adjunct Professor, I taught courses in Abnormal Psychology & the Psychology of Human Sexuality at Mesa Community College from 2006-2015.  I am also a Nationally Recognized Speaker and Trainer on developing a gender-affirming approach to working with transgender and gender non-conforming clients.

When working with both individuals and couples, I employ an integrative approach to counseling adults which includes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Insight Therapy, Multi-Generational Therapy, and Psychoeducation.  My straight-forward, supportive style is designed to both enlighten and empower clients who seek understanding and change in their lives.
